The host city
Lavras, the host city of SBSI, is located at the south of Minas Gerais state, at the margins of the Fernão Dias interstate motorway, between the capital cities of São Paulo and Belo Horizonte. Known as land of the “ipês” (a local tree with astonishingly bright yellow flowers) and of the schools, it has very good life quality indices. Lavras is located close to important historic sites in Minas Gerais, as well as to natural beauties of waterfalls and lakes.
